The Ministry of Health have discharged two admitted Covid-19 patients that were part of the four confirmed cases in the Gambia after a laboratory test have shown their full recovery and free from Covid-19 pandemic.
This development has left only one active case in the Gambia.
In a daily press briefing on the national situational report, the Minister of Health Dr. Amadou Lamin Samateh assured Gambians that 2 of the reported confirmed cases have been discharged following satisfactory lab test.
Dr. Samateh further outline that 247 suspected cases are under quarantined. Also, a cumulative 233 (65 new) contacts are traced with a total of 102 (5 new) tests conducted, of which, 97 are declared negative and one inconclusive. This includes the lab tests for the first and third diagnosed COVID-19 cases in The Gambia.
