Posted by Dauchingen, a Community in Germany recently supported four Communities in Foni Bintang and it’s surrounding with rice as part of Dauchingen Community Covid-19 relief support to humanity.
The support was in two folds, were facilitated by Elfi and Gunter. The first support was 75 bags of rice and the second was 100 bags. D340, 000 was spent to purchase the 175 bags of rice. The support also included School learning materials.
In an interview with Ebrima Solo Drammeh, the Bintang Bolong Lodge Manager, said the support came at a time when it was needed most. “As you know during this Covid-19 pandemic so many families are going through difficulties and this donation will be very helpful to the four communities”, he said. Mr. Drammeh said Covid-19 came with so many challenges for the vulnerable in society and putting food on the table is difficult for many due to the lock-down.
Drammeh also indicated that supports were given to some Schools within the said Communities. The benefited materials include uniforms, learning materials and food stuff.
Community members expressed thanks and gratefulness to the donors. They applauded Elfi and Gunter for the good humanitarian gesture.
