The Trumpet Newspaper has come to join our colleagues in the media to serve the people of The Gambia.
From the Colonial period to the present day Gambia, the Media has been at the forefront in advocating for the welfare of the general public.
J.D Richards, Gore Njie, Provident Joof just to name a few, had used Newspapers in London to expose the unpleasant attitudes of the Colonialists.
The Trumpet Newspaper has come to the scene not to deviate from what is expected of the media. As a paper, we would endeavour to publish anything that is in the interest of The Gambian public.
Due consideration will be given to every article that would help to inform, educate and entertain the people. Professionalism and ethical Journalism are our principles at the Trumpet.
We would like to congratulate our colleagues in the media who were here from the beginning, doing a great job and still continue to do so. At the Trumpet, we would follow every issue in order to separate the grains from the chaffs. The truth is the guiding light and shall follow it wherever it leads us.
We will follow the truth even at the gate of hell. We would follow as in the Biblical adage which says, “If you know the truth, the truth shall set you free”.
Trumpet is here for good of society. We are not here to counter everything and everyone but would dedicate our time in advocating for the welfare of The Gambia and African people, committing to neutrality at all time.
We will launch a vigorous campaign to seek the truth and remain impartial and accountable to the public.
The team Trumpet would speak nothing but the truth, so help us God.
