BREKING NEWS: PS Sanyang Invites Land Dispute Parties to Meeting

Reliable information reaching Trumpet Newspaper from the Ministry of Local Government and Lands has it that Permanent Secretary Buba Sanyang, has written to the warring parties in the Tawto-Daru land ownership dispute between Busumbala Jatta Kunda and Jobe Kunda family of Serrekunda to a meeting.

The land battle between the two families has been going on for almost three years.

According to our sources, the said meeting between the two parties to be necessitated by the Ministry headed by PS Buba Sanyang after an independent private land surveyor has submitted a report and recommends for new demarcation be measured.

The independent land surveyor Mr. Ousman Jarjusey was a senior official of the Ministry and was involved when leasehold agreement was done between Jatta Kunda and Jobens.

Jarjusey was the endorsing and approving officer to the said leasehold agreement in 1998.

Several schedule meetings have fail due to the unavailability of PS Sanyang, but our credible sources confirmed that parties were given an official invitation letter for a meeting with PS Sanyang schedule to take place on Wednesday 22ndJuly 2020.

It could be recall that Mr. Adama Jobe with the assistance of Physical Planning official Mr. Modou Joof led a group of young persons and demolished buildings and structures erected at Tawto-Daru, traditionally owned by Busumbala Jatta Kunda clan.

The demolition has affected more than sixty families.
