More Donations For Health Ministry

The Ministry of Health continues to receive more donations from institutions and private individual both in and outside The Gambia. The latest donation was made by a former staffer of the Ministry of Health Saikou Suwareh, based in Germany.

The donated items included; incubators, ultrasound scanners, scanners, x-ray developer, nebulizer, microscope, hospital beds among other things. The items are mean for distribution to the various government health facilities across the country.

Speaking on behalf of the donor, Haruna Jallow said Saikou Suwareh has the country at heart. He said a similar donation was made in 2019 by the same person.

Dr. Babading Sabally Director of Pharmaceutical in receipt of the items on behalf of the ministry said the ministry is open to partnerships. He pointed out that the donation would go a long way in providing quality and affordable welfare to citizens. Dr. Sabally assured the donors that the materials would be used for their intended purpose.

Other speakers included, Jsabell Blochl, the German Charge d’Affairs and  Omar Ceesay a representative of Bundung Maternal hospital.
