TAF Africa Global To Celebrate 30 Years Anniversary

TAF Africa Global, the leading Estate developer across the sub region is preparing to celebrate 30 years of milestone achievement in building construction. The event is slated to take place on the 9th of January 2019.

Speaking at the event held at its newly build Dalaba Housing Estate situated at Sukuta Jabang Highway, the CEO of TAF Africa Global Mustapha Njie went down memory lane to catalogue the significant progress registered under TAF Africa Global since its inception.

He said Africa is facing the growing meltdown of affordable housing crisis with the total number of 52 million housing deficit. Mr. Njie further urges key drivers to mitigate the trend.

He added that the initiative is part of their social responsibility to contribute their quota to the socio economic development of the country.

‘’We are here today in our new Dalaba Estate, as you can see this estate is one of its kind in the Gambia with pavement roads, beautiful affordable houses, high quality infrastructure and pictorial landscaping’’ he said.

He said TAF Africa Global envisioned providing more vocational training to youths in the march to harness their technical skills. ‘’My passion for youth leadership and development has resulted in the establishment of TAF Leadership Academy and a yearlong leadership for tertiary level students to be able to harness their leadership skills. We will be having the graduation ceremony of the first cohort with 50 fellows on the 8th January 2020 during TAFCON’’ he remarked.

Ya Bajen Njie, General Manager of TAF Africa Global said the infrastructural cost of the Dalaba Estate amounted to a tune of D30 Million Dalasis, this she said includes interlocking pavement roads, solar street lights, water and electricity supply 1500 fruit trees and beautiful landscaping. ‘’To date, we are working with over 35 contractors to execute the infrastructural and building works combined, of which 75 percent are Gambian contractors and 25 percent non Gambians from the sub region.’’ She said.

Modou Lamin Ceesay, Head of Sales and Marketing said for the past years the company shifted its focus towards the delivery of high quality modern affordable housing in the Gambia. This he attributes as a target goal in delivering 1000 homes per annum for the five years.

‘’In 2017, we launched the ‘Triple M designs’, The Mariatou, Maimuna and Majula, characterized by modern and quality finishing.’’
