Thunder Storm Kills Teen In Kombo

Heavy thunder storm has on Saturday 20th June 2020, claimed the life of seventeen year old boy from Sohm village in Kombo East District. Ebrima Jallow, was hard working and committed towards feeding his mother and siblings after sudden sickness claimed the life of his father a year ago.

Another unhappiness hit his family when on Thursday 18th June 2020, his mother was involved in a car accident where she sustained serious injuries.

Reliable information reaching Trumpet Newspaper indicated that in the early hours of Saturday morning, Ebrima escorts her Mum to Kafuta Health Centre for her regular dressing of her injury she sustained from the accident.

In the afternoon, according to sources Ebrima went to the bush to get “Kaaba” fruits which he sells to make ends meet for his family. Wild fruit business is the only source of income for Ebrima and his family as the only male head of his family.

Whiles on top of a “Kaaba” tree, thunder storm hit him on the face cracking it into pieces leading to his sudden death.

The teen and his family have been struggling with survival and has sacrificed his social life in order to provide food for his Mum and young siblings.

He was laid to rest on the same day after Maghreb Prayers.

The family is appealing to philanthropist for assistance.
